Weatherly has volunteered for many years with the youth bagpiping organization Northwest Junior Pipe Band.

Much of her early experience with photography was taking candid shots of bagpipers and drummers in motion during competitions. Weatherly began with a Nikon D-50 camera, moved on to a Nikon D-80 and now uses her D-80 and a Nikon D300S. Weatherly has spent a lot of time running down the street in front of a bagpipe band on parade, or following them into the competition circle where there's very little time to plan or set up her shots, but she has a talent for capturing great moments in her subjects.

Her photos have been published in the Everett Herald, Schmapp.com for photos of Seattle and Glasgow, Scotland, KPLU.org, Piping World Magazine, The Enterprise Newspapers, Myles Wilcott's Vancouver Bagpiper website, and are often prominently featured on Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band's website, Northwest Junior Pipe Band's website and the British Columbia Pipers Association, as well as upcoming photos on City Arts Magazine.

She enjoys wildlife photography and portraiture and would be happy to discuss your photography needs. Contact her.
